Macro worlds
Experimenting with extension tubes. The bottom photo looks like its taken under water but it's probably because I had the plant pressed up against the lens.

Forever the photographer
I was asked to take photos for Unitec's music students end of year performance. To be honest I'm getting a little bored of photographing music performances (maybe it's because you can't stand where you really want to, and the lighting etc) but I still managed to get some interesting & different shots in that I like.

The end of 16 years of school and study
The first photo here is me and Shaquille when we were still in high school before our film screened at the Academy Cinemas and we won Best film. The second photo is us 4 years later just two days ago after seeing our grad film screened at St Lukes Event cinemas :) Hopefully we'll keep making films in the future. This also marks the end of my study and I'm leaving with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts specializing in camera.

Happy Place
My friend hosted his radio show from Hum Salon last night and heaps of people came to enjoy the good music. The band Tweed was really cool to watch (that's them in the pictures) It's a bit sad because it's not looking good for Hum and raising their money in time. It would be really sad for this place to be left empty or be torn down.

A great cause
I shot and edited this video in a day for Hum Salon. They need $80,000 in 15 days or their community project will be taken off them. The house is amazing and has been restored in 4 years by amazing volunteers. The space is used for anyone including students to hang out, do art, create music, hold events. Check out how you can help here! : http://www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/keephumhumming

First Music Video
Here is my first music video! I directed and shot this in August and edited it with my editor Jessy choi through September. I always have things to pick at in all the video work I do but overall I'm proud of this as my first one :) It was premiered by NZMUSICIAN.co.nz last night

Bike to the Future
I became a photographer for Bike to the Future last weekend and got some cool shots. Wowee, I just typed in the event to link some information here and my photos came up :) http://transportblog.co.nz/2014/09/29/bike-to-the-future/ but here is the real information on why this event happened http://www.generationzero.org/support_protected_cycle_lanes_on_krd

Miss Congeniality
I filmed behind the scenes at Miss Universe New Zealand last week. After watching the goings on behind stage and in the dressing rooms I can pretty much say it is exactly what you would expect and see in the movies. Panicking, swimsuit competitions, miss congeniality and stressed out organizers. Except that a lot of the girls we interviewed were really nice and were new to modelling and this whole world.

Music Video
I directed, organised and shot a music video over two days for my friends band called Hotboxed Treehut. It was a big challenge and an odd experience for me asking people to give up their time to work on it and having so many things to think about. I filmed on a 7D. Both days were very rushed and I think the images will show that. The second day they called it off because of the weather then back on at the last minute so we only had half the filming time and the tide came in. It should be finished by the end of September so I guess then we will all see how it turned out! I really like the song, I think it's really catchy and people will like it.

Plays
Above are three photos I took for the third year actors play Twelth Night. I have photographed a few of their plays now and I probably got the best photos from this one (mainly because the light was bright enough). The photo at the bottom is being used as the Unitec PASA cover photo on their facebook page.

Catalogue
Two of the photos I took for this runway show event Kmart put on. I made the web banners that went on the Westfield website, the poster in store and a catalogue which had full page images like these. These two weren't actually in the catalogue but I like them. Model - Teena Niktash

Karams War
Studio film shoot for Karams War is being finished over the break, it looks pretty cool. Directed by Shaquille Wasasala and me as DOP. Disappointed no one took stills of the shots with the actors.

Little Kitty
We found this kitten meowing in the bushes. She looked about 6 weeks old, I didn't know what to do with her. I was busy but didn't want her to get put down or go to a bad home. I got her wormed and flea treatment and became her mummy. 3 days later Iv'e found her a good home and I'm happy I've done the right thing.
